La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It

WHere is a home-style version of a drink featured on our latest cocktail list. This is a large-volume prepared mix that's packed full of tastes of a Christmas time, rendering it perfect for hosting a festive gathering. Save the extra cordial to use in brunch beverages, desserts, or to make more rounds of the drink.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 guests

To make the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Drink (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Instructions

To prepare the Cordial: Combine the listed items into a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Next, turn off the burner allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Decant into an sterilised bottle, seal and store chilled, it can be stored for around one month.

To make Premix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through muslin, to ensure it's completely strained.

To serve: Pour 85ml of your premix into a mixing glass containing ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute to chill. Strain to a cold coupe glass or similar, top with a few cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray with the mandarin essence above the glass.
